Amenities and features

The village comprises a church, the Lattin Lawn Tennis Club and a playing pitch of the Lattin/Cullen GAA Club. The club has recently improved its sports ground and built new dressing rooms. The premises were officially opened on 15 May 2009 and named Hannon GAA Park in honour of the local sporting hero, Jimmy Hannon, who won many All Ireland hurling medals for Tipperary.[1] On the grounds there is a hall for meetings and for amateur shows (school concerts, Scór competitions etc.)

Lattin is surrounded by rich pasture land, most of which is used for dairy farming. It is situated in an area of south Tipperary known as the Golden Vale, an area in which the land is particularly suitable for grass growing and dairy farming.

The primary schools of Shronell and Mount Brúis tend to concentrate their religious and sporting activities in Lattin village.
